Have you been impacted by the #MeToo campaign and feel compelled to do more?

Northwest CASA is looking for volunteer advocates to assist us with providing 24 hour coverage on our hotline in both the North and Northwest Suburbs of Cook County and/or McHenry County. We provide a comprehensive training for you for free with a 1 year commitment to providing assistance.

About the Training

Advocates learn an understanding of Rape Culture and History in order to provide advocacy and crisis intervention services to victims/survivors of
sexual violence. The training is all encompassing and will go over working with survivors from various walks of life. When Advocates leave the training they are ready to assist survivors in the hospital and provide crisis intervention support on our 24/7 Hotline.

Training Topics:
Rape Culture
Women’s History
Crisis Intervention with Adults
Crisis Intervention with Children
Medical Advocacy
Legal Advocacy
And more!

Volunteers are supported by Advocacy staff including a Volunteer Coordinator.
