Dickelle Fonda and Alan Fishman were recognized for their commitment to end sexual violence.
Two Evanston residents were among several volunteers honored this week at the Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault’s (Northwest CASA) annual volunteer appreciation dinner held at Francesca’s Tavola in Arlington Heights.
Dickelle Fonda and Alan Fishman were each honored by the agency – the only non-profit, full-service sexual assault agency covering the north and northwest suburbs of Cook County – for their commitment and dedication to ending sexual violence across all communities.
Fonda was honored for her work in sexual violence and her support in establishing Northwest CASA’s Evanston satellite office. Northwest CASA Executive Director Jim Huenink said he had “never met anyone with such determination to make something happen that was needed.”
Fishman was recognized for his devotion to Northwest CASA’s board of directors. He joined the Northwest CASA board in 2006 and remained engaged until stepping down this month.
