Darla Centeno , Medical Legal Advocate

Darla joined in late 2023. She has a deep passion for Complex PTSD/ Trauma, consuming books, podcasts, research, and articles to deepen her understanding of how our environment can affect our brains and bodies. Darla advocates for movement, nutrition, and meditation to create a safer space in our bodies to process our experiences in the safest way possible. It’s these reasons she makes space for these practices in her life. In her spare time, Darla loves to move her body through martial arts, walking, and yoga while eating nutritionally dense foods to nurture her body. But she also cares for her mind and soul through activities like reading, spending time with loved ones, eating chocolate, and spending time in nature. For Darla, when a person experiences trauma, these small things can feel like an unsurmountable mountain, especially when it feels like you’re alone. Her goal is to provide the support survivors need to pivot away from the pain and begin to heal and thrive in their lives.
